  • The registration to this event will end on 9th September 2014.

About the workshop

Isothermal Titration Calorimetry is an extraordinarily powerful technique to obtain binding parameters from molecular interactions. This experimental technique  is currently being underutilized, inaccurately or even incorrectly employed in many cases.

The overall objective of this workshop is to evaluate the current state of both Isothermal Titration Calorimetry instruments and data analysis, as well as the perspectives for the short, medium and long term. We aim to identify common errors, making known original analysis and so new possibilities to promote the correct use of this technique. The main topics to include in this workshop are:

  • Equilibrium and kinetic modeling for the analysis of ITC data.
  • Hardware Limitations of the technique.
  • New applications of Isothermal Titration Calorimetry.
  • New tools for the analysis and optimization of the experiments.

*Note:
The workshop WIDEN-ITC starts September 10th at 9:30 (CET, GMT+2:00). Also, there will be a live chat room available for all online participants.

-The evening session will include a series of interactive tutorials on how to use AFFINImeter-ITC where all participants will have the chance to familiarize and practice with the software. In order to have access to AFFINImeter you will need to create a user account in http://www.affinimeter.com/app/index.php/auth/register.

-We strongly encourage you to get the AFFINImeter user account today, before the start of the workshop, to avoid last minute rush.

-With the user account you can start trying some of the functionalities of AFFINImeter and get familiarized with it before the workshop.

-If you are already a beta tester you don't need to open a new AFFINImeter account. Use your current username and password.

-Finally, on-site participants should bring their own labtops to the conference room. Please make sure the labtop´s battery is fully charged for the evening session (individual electrical outlets are not guaranteed).
